I see a little errors in my description, take note:

-To select with the Magic Wand Tool you need to click one time the left button of your mouse, after that, you can select or deselect with SHIFT or ALT and the left button of your mouse.

-Once you show the little circle in the Magnetic Lasso Tool, you need to click one time the left button of your mouse to close the selection, now you can cut, copy or delete the part, now, if some part the Lasso act weird, you can follow your way or help it clicking one time the left button of your mouse WARNING! If you do two clicks you close the selection and you need to start again from the beginning. Good Luck!
